Smart Grid

Measure, control, regulate, communicate, automate

SCHEIDT has taken up the challenge together with its partners from energy supply companies and industry - the result: Smart Grid - the intelligent grid stations!

Smart Grid

The new era is energised,
in an intelligently networked way

The smart grid marks the beginning of a rethink: away from centralised "only" electricity distribution towards an infrastructure that can also absorb electricity at countless decentralised feed-in points. The high requirements for stable and secure grid operation are not easy to fulfil with decentralised feed-in. This is because maximising the share of renewable energies also means fluctuations in generation due to sun, wind and weather.
Smart Grid
Connected into a harmonious, stable overall system thanks to the smart grid: centralised electricity generation by power plants, small decentralised generation units, various storage systems and consumers.
The conventional electricity grid is becoming smart: whether it's an adjustable transformer or an intelligent transfer station with protection and telecontrol technology.

Measure, control, regulate, communicate, automate

SCHEIDT makes new technologies available and adapts innovatively to the challenging supply system. Advanced components now make it possible to control fluctuating feed-in, help relieve the load on the grids and keep the grids stable using control and regulation mechanisms.
Smart Grid

Our intelligent grid stations adapt completely autonomously to the dynamic processes within the electricity grid. With the help of controllable and adjustable transformers, any voltage fluctuations that occur are compensated for and the existing grid capacity can be fully utilised by recording the grid status in real time. The end consumer benefits from a constant and standardised voltage supply at all times.

A smart grid station from SCHEIDT is the reliable test instance for recognising faults in good time and immediately disconnecting generation systems from the power grid if necessary. Load profiles, grid utilisation, faults and a variety of other relevant data are recorded and evaluated by the control technology. Fast localisation enables faults to be rectified promptly. This ensures high grid availability and minimises downtimes. Load flow control only generates as much energy as is actually required - this reduces costs and contributes to optimum grid utilisation. The use of storage technologies is an interesting prospect for absorbing surplus energy from decentralised generation sources.

Have your intelligent local network station built according to your wishes: from "classic controllable" to trend-setting solutions for a transfer station that combines telecontrol, transformer and protection technology in a compact and ultra-modern way. SCHEIDT has the future in it.
