Scheidt is delighted to welcome two newly qualified specialists to its ranks. Robin Tillich and Tobias Bors have successfully completed their training and are now continuing their careers as skilled workers at the Hoyerswerda site.
Robin Tillich has successfully completed his apprenticeship as an electronics technician for industrial engineering. With an average grade of 1.1, he was honoured as the best student in his class. Tobias Bors is one of the pioneers: He is the first trained reinforced concrete worker at Scheidt in Hoyerswerda and has also successfully passed his examination.
The outstanding achievements were honoured in a small ceremony. Plant manager Gerd Zimmermann and the trainers Enrico Dreßler (master craftsman in concrete, training in reinforced concrete construction) and Sven Robel (master craftsman in finishing, training in electrical professions) personally congratulated the two graduates and presented them with small gifts in recognition.

"We are proud that we can offer young people sound training and long-term prospects in our company. Robin and Tobias have proven how important qualified training is for the future of our industry," says Operations Manager Gerd Zimmermann.
Training as the key to securing skilled labour
In-company training plays a central role for Scheidt. There are currently 13 apprentices in training at the Hoyerswerda site. On 1 August 2025, three more young people will start their training as mechatronics engineers. The successful development confirms the training concept introduced five years ago and actively contributes to securing qualified skilled labour in the region.
"Practice-orientated training not only secures our own young talent, but also makes an important contribution to the regional economy. Young people are given career prospects, while we as a company benefit from their knowledge and commitment"
Gerd Zimmermann, Operations Manager
Scheidt continues to focus on promoting young talent and looks forward to accompanying young talents on their career path in the future.
